Nominations to be submitted on or before August 15th each year. Documents will be retained for consideration for induction into the YRSA’s Hall of Fame for the following year.

Candidates may be nominated from the York Region Soccer community, and must have represented soccer in York region during their soccer career. Candidates may be a player, coach, official, board member, sponsor, or volunteer. Nominees must have made a significant contribution to the sport of soccer in their capacity.

Annual Hall of Fame Nomination - Individual
Players ~ To be considered in the Player category, an individual must have been proficient in competition against peer players. He/she must be retired from active participation in soccer for a period of not less than three (3) years.

Builders ~ Includes volunteers, officials, sponsors, executives, trainers, coaches and administrators - to include those whose work for soccer over an extended period of time has been outstanding. Work over a sustained period of time must have been of a consistently high level, with respect to services provided or results achieved - whether in organization of leagues or facilities, coaching teams or individuals, keeping a league active or providing services of a consistently high level. To be considered in this category, an individual must have made his or her mark in soccer in a non-playing capacity and have had a major, sustained and positive impact on soccer in York Region.

Veterans ~ Any of the above who has been retired from the sport for more than ten (10) years.

Annual Hall of Fame Nomination - Corporate
To be considered, corporations must have demonstrated an outstanding committment to soccer within York Region over an extended period of time, resulting in significant contribution to the success of our sport.

Documentary evidence must be provided to support the nomination. Nomination Forms can be obtained from the York Region Soccer Association (YRSA) website. Nominations are to be received annually on or before August 15th for consideration for induction in the year following receipt. (I.e.: Applications received in 2017 will be eligible for induction into the Hall of Fame in 2018.)
